Background: N-trimethyl chitosan chloride (TMC) is a cationic water soluble derivative of chitosan, used as an intravenous drug delivery system for gene, vaccine and anti-cancer delivery. Its cytotoxicity has been extensively studied, but there is a lack of information about the hemocomapitiblity.
