Our vision, mission and strategy

FIP’s renewed vision and mission came into effect in 2025 upon the launch of the FIP Strategic Plan, setting a forward-looking direction for the organisation and the profession over the next five years.

Our vision is a world where everyone has access to safe, effective, quality and affordable medicines, health technologies, and pharmaceutical care services, supported by sustainable practices and innovative collaborations with other healthcare professionals.

Our mission is to support global health by advancing pharmaceutical practice, sciences, and education, advocating for pharmacists’ roles in healthcare systems worldwide, promoting equitable access to medicines and care, and fostering sustainability in pharmacy to address critical challenges such as climate change and global health disparities.

The Strategic Plan 2025–2030 aims to strengthen our relationships with organisations in membership, ensure that FIP’s work remains responsive to regional needs while aligned with global priorities, and reinforce the organisation’s “ONE FIP” approach by uniting practice, education and science under a shared global voice for pharmacy.

The Strategic Plan is underpinned by the FIP Development Goals, which provide a roadmap for measurable progress and align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through collaboration with governments, academia, industry, healthcare professionals and international organisations, we aim to strengthen healthcare systems, improve access and equity, and advance innovation in pharmacy worldwide.

Our Annual Report reflects these priorities and showcases the federation’s impact and achievements each year across pharmaceutical practice, education and workforce, and sciences. The 2024 Annual Report, “Forward with Health, Forward with FIP”, highlights the collective efforts of FIP, its members and partners in advancing pharmacy worldwide through advocacy, workforce development, policy leadership, innovation and global collaboration.

Previous annual reports and related publications can be accessed through the FIP Library.
