  This paper is an attempt to study the OTC product along with their need & risks involved. Also to compare OTC list in India with developed country like U.S.A. The list of OTC drugs in country like India is obviously shorter than any other developed country like USA owing to the fact of low literacy and so little general awareness of medicines
