  Pharmaceutical supply chains have become complex in recent years. Bulk may be produced in country A, packaging is performed in country B, the product itself may be delivered to a series of different countries all over the world. Authorities of countries which have granted marketing authorisations are increasingly inspecting manufacturing sites.
