• Abstract:

  Background

  Older adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) are frequently exposed to proton pump inhibitors PPIs to manage acid-related gastroesophageal conditions.   

  Methods

  Data on PPIs were extracted from the Intellectual Disability Supplement to the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (IDS-TILDA), wave two (2012-2013) and wave three (2016-2017).
