FIP is a co-signatory of a letter to the World Health Organization on ending sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH) in global health.

The letter, drafted by Women in Global Health and FEMNET, was sent today, marking the end of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign that started on 25 November. The signatories of the letter, which include the International Council of Nurses, urge the WHO to make prevention of SEAH a permanent indicator of WHO performance management and accountability. They also call for gender parity in leadership within WHO country offices and emergency response teams; “the presence of a critical mass of women will reduce the risk of SEAH”, the letter says.
