Backgroumd
In schistosomiasis, healing of parasite egg induced liver granuloma can lead to periportal
fibrosis, and bleeding esophageal varices. Fibrogenesis is a dynamic potentially
reversible process mediated through immunological responses to parasite eggs
trapped in the liver[3DOTS] Collagen synthesis (especially type I) is quantitatively.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
