Douwe D. Breimer
is professor of pharmacology at Leiden University since 1975 and he was Rector Magnificus of the University from 2001 – 2007 and also President from 2005 – 2007. He studied pharmacy at the University of Groningen and did his PhD in pharmacology at the University of Nijmegen. His research has been in the area of pharmacokinetics,
