Prof. Dr. Hans E. Junginger has studied Pharmacy and received his Ph.D .degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. After his 'Habilitation' in Pharmaceutical Technology he was 1980 – 2004 Head of the Department of Pharmceutics at the Leiden/Amsterdam Center for Drug Research at Leiden University in The Netherland.
