Introduction
Endogenous Cushing's syndrome (CS) is a rare endocrine disorder defined by prolonged hypercortisolism, affecting 2-8 per million people yearly. It significantly increases morbidity and mortality rates (standardized mortality ratio 3.0, 95% CI 2.3-3.9). CS originates from pituitary tumours (Cushing's disease, 60-70%), adrenal tumours..
