Chloroquine-chlorpheniramine interaction in human malaria. the role of ascorbic acid and Α - tocopherol

  • Abstract:

    A 3-day treatment with 25mg Chloroquine per Kg body weight alone or in combination with chlorpheniramine maleate was given orally to 17 semi-immune Nigerian children with plasmodium falciparum parasitaemia.

    Treatment with chloroquine – chlorpheniramine combination resulted in a shorter parasite clearance time (2.0 ± 0.5 d) and a higher cure rate ..
