[Background] The pharmaceutical, pharmacokinetic and pharmacological properties of branded and generic formulations of bromocriptine mesylate – eleven products in all – were investigated by disintegration tests, dissolution tests, blood concentration measurement and compulsive rotation experiments using parkinsonian model rats.
