Background
Vitex negundo, vernacularly known as ‘Nirgundi’, an important medicinal plant in Ayurveda and Indian ethnomedicine for therapeutic benefits in jaundice, depression and brain tonic etc.
Methods
Negundoside was isolated from the dried and coarsely powdered leaves of Vitex negundo and was characterised using 1H and 13C NMR and LC-MS
