• Abstract:

  Background

  Terminalia chebula retzius (TC) is a traditional folk medicine that has been widely used in
  Asian countries for its anti-oxidant , anti-inflammatory , anti-bacterial and anti- arthritic  properties. Three polyphenolic compounds have been isolated from the fruits of TC: chebulagic acid, chebulanin, and chebulinic acid.
