Background
Immunisation is a crucial component in infection control and prevention of influenza. Vaccinating priority groups such as healthcare workers is a vital focus of infection prevention efforts1. The Health Service Executive in Ireland recommends that 40% of all healthcare workers in Ireland receive influenza vaccination every winter season..
