  Probiotics are products containing live micro-organisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host. Their regulatory status is not yet well established. Usually are available as dietary supplements although some are approved as medicinal products and classified as live biotherapeutic products, LBPs. ..
