Background
Barriers for CE and CPD include absence of accreditation system, time constraints, lack of motivation, costs, etc. The lack of motivation described in the literature was never specified in a qualitative or quantitative way.Methods
The self-determination theory (SDT) describes two main types of motivation: (desirable) autonomous motivation .. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
