  It is well-known that digoxin is a difficult drug to administer, because of the lack of a clear relationship between the dose and desired therapeutic effect, its narrow therapeutic range and variation in the pharmacokinetic characteristics of the drug. Kidneys have the most important role in digoxin clearance.
