The main questions to be asked when analysing a suspected counterfeit medicine are: • Was the proprietary product manufactured by the license holder, eg were the Viagra tablets made by Pfizer. • Does the product contain the right active at the right potency, eg do the erythromycin tablets 250 mg contain 250 mg of erythromycin.
