The need for greater international cooperation in combating counterfeit medical products has been reiterated several times. The establishment of an International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting Taskforce, IMPACT, has been endorsed at the Conference on 'Combating Counterfeit Drugs: Building Effective International Collaboration' held in Rome
