The medics in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) are mostly full-time National Servicemen serving two years of national service. The medics pack and dispense medicines under the supervision of doctors in the SAF medical centres during peacetime, and out in the field during operations. The medic trainees undergo a 13-week in-house course in the SAF
