    Background

    Minocyline exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic and neuroprotective activity unrelated to its antibiotic properties making it a candidate for treating stroke [1]. Nanotechnology has yielded encouraging results for delivery of drugs to the CNS.
