    3-o-[β-D-glucopyranosy-(1-2)-β-D-glucopyranosy]-dammar-20R,24R-epoxy-3β-12β,25-triol had been semisynthesized for the first time in 73% overall yield by the conversion of 20(R)-ginsenoside Rg3 followed by acid hydrolysis and cyclization of the side chain with the purpose of improving the solubility and exploiting the other high activities.
