- Abstract:
Driven by persistently high levels of inappropriate antibiotic use, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) continues to escalate globally. OECD projections show that resistance to last-resort antibiotics could more than double by 2035 compared to 2005 levels. The human and economic toll is substantial: eliminating AMR could add up to 1.8 years to life..
