Pharmacy practitioners and educators who are members of FIP can, as of today, enrol in FIP’s “Digital health in pharmacy” online course. The course is an expansion of FIP’s course on digital health for educators launched in 2022, redeveloped so that the first module of three is of benefit to practitioners. Module 1 covers digital health tools for pharmacists and related challenges they may encounter in practice. A certificate is awarded for completion. Participants may choose to complete two further modules, which aim to support educators to include digital health in pharmacy curricula. “Digital care delivery models are a seismic shift in the culture of the healthcare sector and its workforce. In this new era of digital health transformation, pharmacists are poised to play an even more important role in the future of health care and improved patient outcomes. The pharmacy profession needs to develop a digitally literate workforce for today and the future. With this course, FIP supports its members to be better equipped, lead, and be the change makers that healthcare and educational systems demand,” said Jaime Acosta-Gómez, secretary of FIP’s Community Pharmacy Section and co-chair of the FIP Technology Advisory Group. The course, which is free of charge and self-paced, is accepting registrations from now until 15 January 2024 and will close at the end of February 2024. Click here to register.
