    Background: The Pharmacy Act 2007 introduced mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for pharmacists in Ireland. An outcomes and portfolio-based reflective model was agreed as the preferred approach for pharmacy in Ireland by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
