    Background

    Paracetamol poisoning occur following a single acute ingestion or through repeated ingestion of subtherapeutic amounts. The management of paracetamol poisoning includes the administration of N-acetylcysteine. Hypersensitivity, bronchospasm and anaphylaxis are serious reactions to N-acetylcysteine.
