Adequate medicine disposal is crucial for environmental and public health. Unused or expired medications pose serious risks when disposed of incorrectly, as they can contaminate water sources and harm wildlife. Encouraging responsible disposal helps prevent the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, increasing the risk of antimicrobial resistance. Public awareness about safe disposal methods, such as drug take-back programs, not only safeguards the environment but also contributes to a safer, healthier community by minimizsing potential hazards associated with improper medication disposal in short- and long-term perspectives.

Curriculo provides an FIP seal approved professional development program aimed at supporting pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientist. Remuneration is vital in the context of vaccination services provided by pharmacists. The adequate compensation of vaccination services recognizes the critical role pharmacists play in vaccine administration, ensuring accessibility and widespread immunization. Third-party remuneration of vaccination services supports the integration of all vaccination pathways and providers in broad vaccination strategies that aim to ensure equity of access to vaccination and high vaccination coverage rates. In addition, remuneration acknowledges the time, expertise, and resources invested in maintaining vaccine storage protocols, staying abreast of immunization guidelines, and participating in ongoing training. This financial recognition fosters a sustainable environment for pharmacies to actively engage in vaccination initiatives, promoting community well-being through increased vaccination rates and effective disease prevention.

The Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) is the umbrella body of Pharmacists in Kenya.

This time the event will be online and the attendance will be free of charge.

The main scope of the PPR SIG is to increase pharmacy practice contributions to global health by providing greater access to the latest high-quality international pharmacy practice research. During this meeting both starting-out and experienced researchers will be given an opportunity to present their PPR research to an international audience. 

PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, academics, and practitioners involved in research are welcome to join this virtual meeting to present their research and disseminate their findings in a specialised forum .
