Today, at the start of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW), FIP has published a new One FIP Commitment on antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The commitment describes a number of ways by which the federation will increase awareness of AMR, strengthen antimicrobial stewardship and support evidence-based interventions. “This year’s WAAW theme is ‘Preventing antimicrobial resistance together’ and our renewed commitment is inclusive of education, practice, scientific research and workforce development.
