Purpose. To develop innovative delivery strategies that facilitate reproducible transfer of nanocarriers across biological membranes. Methods. Phage display technology built on the T7 bacteriophage platform was applied to screen different in vitro models of the human placenta for peptide ligands that selectively enhance transepithelial transport..
