Coenzyme Q10 is a physiologically important compound. It can act as a cutaneous antioxidant and energizer. Recently coenzyme Q10 made its way into dermatopharmaceutic and cosmetic formulations for the topical cutaneous treatment of skin diseases and for prophylaxis of dystrophias or dysmetabolic conditions of the cutis.
