Tobacco use is the most common preventable cause of death. Cancer killed 556,400 people across India in 2010. 30-69 age group accounted for 71% of it. Cancer alone killed 8% of the 2.5 million total male deaths.The male smoker in the 30-69 age group generally has school going kid/kids with family responsibilities.
