Prevention of constipation among users of opioids at a Danish community pharmacy: Patient information and laxative treatment

In the Capital Region of Denmark, an estimated 1082 admissions and 251 re-admissions were related to opioid induced constipation in 2010. These admissions constitute a serious concern regarding patient safety.
