Glimepiride and Metformin sustained release tablets were successfully formulatedand evaluated. Metformin hydrochloride is a highly water-soluble drug, absorbedthrough GI tract and is negligibly bound to plasma proteins. It is excreted unchangedin the urine and does not undergo hepatic metabolism. It has a plasma eliminationhalflife of 3 h, whereas..
