Low-cost generic drug discount programs: implications for patient safety

In the United States, many chain pharmacies have introduced low-cost generic drug programs starting in September 2006, including some of the most widely used generic medications. While these programs are thought to improve access to medications for patients, as included medications are deeply-discounted regardless of insurance status, The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
