    Objectives: The purpose of the present study is to analysis drug utilization pattern and proper usage of analgesic to reduce the post operative pain in patients undergoing hernia surgeries. Design: A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted at the general inpatient department of medicine a tertiary teaching hospital between 2009 and 2010.
