Background; Community Treatment Orders (CTOs) are legal orders which outline a treatment plan that an individual with mental illness must accept in the community. Psychotropic drugs are a significant component of CTOs and long-acting antipsychotic injections (LAIs) are often prescribed to promote adherence.
