In France, emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) – levonorgestrel - became available without a medical prescription in 1999. Since January 2002, French community pharmacists have to provide free EHC to minors. Moreover, they have the legal obligation to conduct a detailed “consultation” with young girls, providing information on contraception,.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
