Objective: In the previous study, we found that a 50% ethanol extract of traditional Chinese medicinal formula, Wu-Zi-Yan-Zong-Wan (WZ) possessed the hepatoprotective effect against alcohol-induced cytotoxicity in HepG2 cells over-expressing CYP2E1 (E47 cells).
