    A formyl group-ended poly(DL-lactic acid) (PLA-aldehyde), synthesized in the same manner as reported previously, was utilized to produce PLA derivatives. In the previous study, we synthesized PLA-aldehyde as a reactive intermediate so that various types of PLA derivatives could be prepared, and further prepared methoxypolyethylene glycol..
