  Aims:
  
  Based on our experience in the synthesis of N-(dialkyl-aminoethyl)-benzanilides with antimicrobial effect, especially against methicillin resistant Staphyloccocus aureus (MRSA) strains, we developed a new series of compounds, some amides of the 2-(2- phenethyl)benzoic acid.
