BackgroundIn patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), appropriate use of evidence-based medications (antiplatelet agents, angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers, beta-blockers and statins) is associated with reduced recurrence of ischemic events and mortality.
