Background
Antibiotic resistance has become a global problem. It is responsible for 2 million infections and 23,000 deaths annually in the US. Clinical treatment of bacterial infections includes antibiotics susceptibility techniques which are slow and limited to cultivable strains of bacteria and increase usage of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
