    Background

    Korean mistletoe (Viscum album L. var. coloratum) is a subspecies of European mistletoe that is distributed in East Asia including Korea, China, and Japan. It has been used traditionally as an analgesic, anti-spasmolytic, cardiotonic, and anticancer agent.
