    Methods

    To determine the activation of inflammasomes, the degradation of pro-caspase-1 to caspase-1(p10) and the cleavage of pro-IL-1β to IL-1β were analysed by immunoblotting in mouse bone marrow-derived primary macrophages (BMDMs). The secretion of IL-1β was also determined by ELISA. A gout mouse model was generated by injecting MSU crystals
