    Medicines waste in the UK is conservatively estimated to be woth £300M and only 30-50% of medicines are taken as intended. Generally medicines advice and prescribing is conducted in a paternalistic way and this will explain the waste and adherence issues. By working with the patient to create a shared decision about their medicines and explaining
