The FIP Foundation for Education and Research today announced a new fund to collect donations to support its Pharmabridge programme, which provides opportunities for pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and pharmacy educators to learn abroad and take knowledge back to their home countries. The fund has been set up in memory of former FIP president and Swiss community pharmacist Dominique Jordan, who died in August 2023 during the last year of his term of presidency. “This fund has been set up on the request of Dominique’s partner Dr Astrid Czock and PharmaSuisse, the professional organisation of Swiss pharmacists. Pharmabridge enables learning to be shared across countries and therefore supports health for all — universal health coverage — through a knowledge for all approach. The foundation was very pleased to be asked to establish this special fund, which will facilitate the ongoing work of the programme and stand as part of the legacy of Dominique within FIP and to global pharmacy,” said Prof. Jenelle Sobotka, chair of the FIP Foundation board of directors.

Donations to the fund can be made here and donors will be acknowledged on the FIP Foundation website.
