The programme is based on AACP’s highly acclaimed Academic Leadership Fellows Program. A FIP-AACP GALFP Taskforce has designed a tailor-made, two-year programme, which will be delivered virtually and through live meetings, to help prepare promising pharmacy faculty members for roles as future global leaders in academic pharmacy and higher education.

In 2020, FIP is providing this unique leadership programme for the members of FIP’s Academic Institutional Membership in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. “AACP is extremely excited to expand our leadership programs globally. The complexity of pharmacy education and practice today demands that we prepare current and rising leaders to meet new challenges; this is exactly what GALFP aims to accomplish,” said Lucinda Maine, CEO, AACP.

“Our profession needs transformational leaders around the world to meet healthcare needs. FIP is delighted to join forces with AACP and announce the GALFP for the Eastern Mediterranean Region to develop global academic leaders who will advance pharmacy education in their countries and region,” said Catherine Duggan, CEO, FIP.

The GALFP is set to start in April. The application deadline is 4 March.
