New IPJ focuses on primary health care and YOU!

To keep up with the latest from FIP, follow us on social media!

Improving primary health care access and quality, and the pharmacist’s integral role as a primary health care provider, will go a long way to solving the health and health-delivery system challenges confronting the world’s citizens. Some of the many ways in which colleagues around the world have been working towards universal health coverage through primary health care are presented in the latest issue of the International Pharmaceutical Journal. This special issue demonstrates that every part of the profession has an important role: from pharmaceutical scientists developing new vaccines and pharmacist practitioners developing new services that prevent cardiovascular disease from childhood, to educators helping to develop training modules to encourage doctors to integrate pharmacists into their practices, and professional organisations working to advance professional roles. The reports and articles give testament ― should there be any doubters ― to our profession’s importance in overcoming health challenges, as primary care providers in healthcare systems worldwide.
