FIP’s Community Pharmacy Section (CPS) held its inaugural regional summit in Latin America last week, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The summit brought together 100 pharmacists from 6 countries in the region and included sharing knowledge on community pharmacy models in different countries, expanding scope of practice through prescribing for minor ailments, and the impact of technology on the sector. “Despite the diversity of our origins, backgrounds and the languages we speak, in pharmacy we are united by a shared language — that of patient care. I would like to thank the Argentinian Pharmaceutical Confederation for the support provided throughout the summit, and to the colleagues who travelled from across Latin America to participate,” said CPS president Sherif Guorgui.
